PayPal Veteran Joins StrikeIron to Head Developer Programs
Dave Nielsen brings developer program expertise to drive
additional channels

Marketplace, today announced that Dave Nielsen has joined the company as
Director of Developer Programs. Dave brings over 13 years of experience in
working with developers and driving top-notch programs to meet their needs. He
will be located in Mountain View, CA where he will manage StrikeIron’s West
Coast operations.

Prior to StrikeIron, Dave managed the PayPal Developer Network for PayPal, an
eBay company. With over 100 million accounts, PayPal is the standard in online

PDN is the largest community of ecommerce professionals on the Internet. Dave’s
recent focus was supporting the release of PayPal Pro, which enables merchants
to process credit cards and transfer money via SOAP-based Web Services.
Before joining PayPal, Dave was a partner at Persistent Web, an Internet
consulting company which provided ecommerce, systems integration and training.
Dave also serves as co-chair of the SDForum Web Services SIG. Since founding the
user group in 2001, he has arranged over 50 industry leaders to share their
insights about Web Services. He is also the author of PayPal Hacks, which
shows how to find and build the right tools for using PayPal to buy and sell on
eBay.
