StrikeIron Forms Business Advisory Panel
Industry Leaders Join Panel to Accelerate Company’s Growth
Research Triangle Park, NC – April 3, 2007 – StrikeIron Inc., the leading
provider of Data as a Service and business functionality over the Web, today
announced the formation of its Business Advisory Panel. The panel will consist
of industry experts and leaders who can expand the depth and breadth of the
company’s expertise. Panel members include Rowland Archer, Dr. Timothy Chou,
Dave Linthicum, Bill West and Scot Wingo.
StrikeIron will work closely with the advisors to develop strategies and
enhance the company's solutions for SOA enterprises, developers and business
users of live data. They will advise StrikeIron on key trends and challenges in
the Data as a Service, SOA and Web 2.0 space, as well as providing input and
feedback about the company's key product offerings.

The newly formed panel consists of the following members:
Rowland Archer, co-founded HAHT Commerce, Inc., in July,
1995, and served as its CTO until it was purchased by Global eXchange Services
in 2004 for $30M. He currently serves as CTO and Sr. VP, Product Engineering for
Global eXchange Services. Prior to co-founding HAHT, Rowland was Vice President
of Product Development for Q+E Software and DataDirect product lines at
INTERSOLV. He is a frequent speaker at industry and user group conferences, is a
Smithsonian Laureate and two-time Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year
finalist. Rowland received his M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering and
Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and his B.A. in
Physics and Astronomy from Vassar College. He is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and
Sigma Xi.
Timothy Chou has been one of the pioneers of the Software On
Demand industry. He served as President of Oracle On Demand from its inception
to 2005. He is the author of the landmark book "The End of Software" and last
year started the first university course in Software as a Service at Stanford
University. He continues to invest, contribute, write and be a spokesperson for
the industry. Prior to his tenure at Oracle he held executive positions at
Reasoning, Inc. and Tandem Computers. Timothy received his Ph.D. and M.S. degree
in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Dave Linthicum is an internationally known Enterprise
Application Integration (EAI), Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Web 2.0
expert. Currently, Dave is the CEO of the Linthicum Group, LLC, a consulting
organization dedicated to excellence in SOA product development, SOA
implementation, corporate SOA strategy, and leveraging the next generation Web
(Web 2.0). Dave has authored over 800 articles and columns for major computing
publications, and has monthly columns in several popular industry magazines
including “Web Services/SOA Journal” and “Business Integration Journal.” Dave
also writes the Real World SOA blog on InfoWorld.com, and hosts the InfoWorld
SOA Report Podcast. He has authored or co-authored ten books including “David
Linthicum's Guide to Client/Server and Intranet Development,” and the
groundbreaking best seller “Enterprise Application Integration,” released in
1998. His latest book, “Next Generation Application Integration,” is also a best
seller.
Bill West, is a partner with Innovate Ventures in
Greenville, South Carolina. Previously, Bill served as President of Carolina
Phone, a C-Block license holder for the state of South Carolina. Carolina Phone
was sold to Verizon, T-Mobile and Triton Communications. Prior to Carolina
Phone, Bill was President of Dial Page, the 5th largest US paging carrier. Dial
Page also developed an SMR network throughout the southeast, which was sold to
Nextel to complete their nationwide network. Bill was also President of
USTelecenters and held various management positions in marketing and corporate
planning at AT&T. Bill holds a B.S. from Manhattan College and MBA from
Fordham University.
Scot Wingo, President and CEO of ChannelAdvisor, is
responsible for leading the company in its mission to provide retailers and
manufacturers with the software and services needed to successfully sell their
products via online sales channels. Prior to launching ChannelAdvisor, Scot
played a role as the General Manager of GoTo Auctions, CEO and co-founder of
AuctionRover.com (acquired by GoTo.com) and CEO and co-founder of Stingray
Software (acquired by RogueWave). He received a Bachelor of Computer Science
degree from the University of South Carolina and Masters in Computer Science
degree from North Carolina State University.
