ActivePrime Integrates StrikeIron’s Email Verification Web Service in CRM
Solution
Web Service reduces cost and time associated with bad leads
by validating email addresses before they enter a CRM system
Research Triangle Park, NC – October 9, 2006 – StrikeIron Inc., provider of
the Web Services Marketplace, today announced that it has partnered with
ActivePrime. As part of the agreement, ActivePrime will integrate StrikeIron’s
Email Verification into their CleanCRM Data cleansing software tool. CleanCRM is
part of the CleanData Toolset and is designed for a company’s complete
standardization of content/data. It also allows organizations to reduce the
duplication of CSV files. API’s are available to hook directly to
salesforce.com, Siebel CRM OnDemand, and SalesLogix.
ActivePrime CleanCRM imports and exports data directly from a CRM system
allowing users to review and edit the matched results. Using advanced
duplicate-matching algorithms, CleanCRM combines fields from disparate records
to form a single, accurate record. As their first offering ActivePrime will be
integrating StrikeIron’s Email Verification Web Service into its salesforce.com
CleanCRM tool. Customers will automatically engage the WS upon sign in.
“StrikeIron’s Marketplace API complements ActivePrime’s Content Initiative by
providing a rapid deployment platform for a wide range of information types,”
said Mark Taylor, executive vice president, marketing and business development,
ActivePrime, Inc. “Information accessed through StrikeIron along with
ActivePrime’s CleanData ™ suite of content, data cleansing and standardization
solutions offers the market greater value and more reliable business
information.”
The StrikeIron Email Verification Web Service instantly determines the
validity of an email address or domain. Users simply provide an email address
and this Web service will return a true or false by contacting the email owners’
SMTP servers to validate an address without sending an email. This helps to
reduce spam by blocking email that is sent from invalid email addresses and
ensures that email addresses are validated before they are entered into a CRM
database. For more information, visit StrikeIron Email Verification.
“Clean data is at the heart of successful CRM implementations. Invalid email
addresses not only increase cost and waste time, they increase the chance that a
company will be put on a spam list, significantly hampering future customer
communications. StrikeIron’s Email Verification Web Service is a great addition
to ActivePrime’s data cleansing tools,” said Bob Brauer, president and CEO of
StrikeIron. “Leveraging our platform and our various Web services offerings help
our partners grow and scale without adding extra overhead, additional
complexity, and significant expense.”
