  1. Q: What tools are free?

    A:
    The following tools are Free for use with StrikeIron Marketplace Web Services:
    • SOA Express for Excel - Downloadable add-in that let’s you do drag-and-drop integration of Web services directly into Microsoft Excel spreadsheets! No programming required! Free when used with StrikeIron Marketplace Web Services.
    • StrikeIron Analyzer for Windows - StrikeIron's Web Services Analyzer for Windows allows anyone to quickly and easily discover, understand and utilize any XML-based Web service located on internal or external directories – with the click of the mouse!
  2. Q: What tools can be purchased?

    A:
    The following downloadable tools for your desktop and online and professional services are available through the StrikeIron Web Services Marketplace as a paid subscription or on a contracted basis. The desktop toolss provide enhanced analysis and integration with access to both your internal (behind the firewall) and external Web services.

    • SOA Express for Excel – Downloadable, first easy-to-use tool that let’s you do drag-and-drop integration of Web services directly into Microsoft Excel spreadsheets! No programming required!

      Provides searchable access to your internal Web services Directories (UDDIs) and is integrated with the StrikeIron Web Services Marketplace for access to external Web services.

      Free trials, demo, and sample workbooks. Free when used with StrikeIron Marketplace Web Services. Available on a paid subscription basis or a perpetual license.

    • Development Services - contracted professional development services for providers of Web services to take advantage of the StrikeIron expertise.

  3. Q: What is the difference between a subscription and a perpetual license?

    A:
    A paid subscription for a StrikeIron product is an agreement to pay a specified amount of money for a specified amount of time. For example, a monthly subscription license for a product would require paying a reoccurring monthly subscription fee for activation of the product. A monthly subscription fee for a product is for one year with automatic renewal and can be cancelled at any time.

    An annual subscription license for a product would require paying an annual fee for a 12 month period with automatic renewal and can be cancelled at any time but there is no refund and no prorated refund for the remaining time.

    A perpetual license for product is a one time price for unlimited use of a product with no time frame restrictions.
  4. Q: How do I get a free trial of SOA Express for Excel?

    A:
    For a free 30-day trial of SOA Express for Excel click here and select the "Free Download" button. To continue using the product after your trial expires, you must purchase and activate the trial key.
  5. Q: What are Development Services?

    A:
    StrikeIron provides contracted development services for providers of Web services. This includes a range of services from Web service design consultation to actual development and testing of your Web services. In addition, StrikeIron can host your Web services code on their servers for a charge depending on the Web services complexity, bandwidth, storage, and support requirements.

    StrikeIron has built a rich development experience base on what works best for commercially available Web Services and providers can take advantage of that experience to ensure greater customer satisfaction. In addition, providers can reduce their investment in infrastructure and support to a fraction of the usual in-house costs with greater flexibility and less risk.
