CRMfusion integrated access to StrikeIron Marketplace Web Services into DemandTools and now salesforce.com customers can seamlessly verify customer address and email information.

DemandTools offers salesforce.com administrators a rich and industrial strength solution to the problems of data quality including the requirements for mass change, mass de-duplication, standardization and data verification.

By integrating with StrikeIron Marketplace Web Services, DemandTools provides real-time data verification and enhancement that eliminates the cost and headache of importing and exporting customer data in and out of salesforce.com.

Challenge

The challenge of data verification and enhancement in hosted environments like salesforce.com is that exporting, cleansing/verifying and re-importing the data can be time consuming, expensive and often error prone.

CRMfusion needed a solution in DemandTools for data verification that was as simple and easy-to-use as its other two data quality features: data maintenance and data cleansing.

Solution

In order to offer DemandTools’ customers a data verification solution, CRMfusion leveraged the StrikeIron Marketplace API to integrate real-time on-demand access to StrikeIron Marketplace Web Services.

The StrikeIron Web services are tightly integrated with DemandTools allowing for U.S. address*, Canadian address*, and email verification as well as advanced post verification actions such as removing addresses from salesforce.com, creating a task for the record owner in case of bad addresses and creating events for the records that verified correctly.

Now salesforce.com administrators can verify, correct and enhance postal addresses and verify email addresses without the data ever leaving the salesforce.com application.

And they have access to a fast, flexible and secure solution to proactively tackle data quality issues on-demand. Some of the additional benefits include:

Example

CRMfusion demonstrated the cost savings of the DemandTools integrated solution with an example of a beta customer verifying 2,000 leads live from their salesforce.com lead queues. The entire process from start to finish took less than 5 minutes and the addresses were not only verified but also enhanced with the addition of 9 digit ZIP codes and full CASS certification. With fees starting at about 4 cents per verification and falling to less than 1 cent per verification in volume, the entire 2,000 lead project would cost an average user of the Web service approximately $35.
