Description
The OptionsOnTrack Historic Options Data Web Service provides historical end–of–day data for U.S. Options.
The Web Service lets you enter a date, or date range, and an Option symbol and instantly receive end-of-day data on last, bid, ask volume and open interest.
The option information is delivered live via an XML–based Web Service directly into any application, platform, product (including spreadsheets!) or Web site, when and where you need it.
Note: when an entering an Option symbol it is important to use the actual Option ticket symbol and not a broker specific symbol. For example, a Microsoft call option which expires on January 7, 2006, has the ticker symbol MQFAM. On Yahoo this is shown as MQFAM.X, on www.cboe.com this would be MQF AM (with a space) and on www.pcquote.com it would be .MQFAM (note the . prefix). You must use the actual symbol, i.e. MQFAM. Also, the date format must be entered as yyyy-mm-dd. For example, 2007-06-01.
