Sean O'Leary, CEO and President
Sean O'Leary is responsible for setting the strategic direction and leading the expansion of StrikeIron's cloud computing services. Mr. O'Leary has over 20 years experience in the Information Technology industry, developing go-to market strategies for both Fortune 500 companies and venture backed start-ups.
Prior to joining StrikeIron, Mr. O'Leary served as Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Business Development at the TapRoot Systems, where he helped launch several new products. One of the company's most notable products included the award winning Mobile Hot Spot, which was picked up by Best Buy as a private label solution and sold in over 1100 stores in North America. Mr. O'Leary also previously served as Vice President and General Manager at Good Technology, where he was credited with developing and implementing a carrier channel distribution strategy that helped grow their business from 10,000 to over 500,000 subscribers and facilitated its acquisition by Motorola in January 2007. Mr. O'Leary also held the position of Senior Director of Worldwide Sales at Cisco Systems, where he played a number of strategic roles, including leading a global sales organization of over 800 people, with offices in thirteen countries.
Mr. O'Leary is a frequent guest lecturer at local universities, including the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's Kenan-Flagler Graduate School of Business, NC State University and Elon University. In 2003, Mr. O'Leary received the Triangle Business Journal's 40 Under 40 Leadership Award. He holds a B.A. in Economics from New England College and a MBA from the University of Southern New Hampshire.
Bob Brauer, Chief Strategy Officer and Co-founder
Bob Brauer is the visionary behind StrikeIron with a zeal for exploiting new technologies to create exciting products and services. As chief strategy officer, he is responsible for StrikeIron's product vision and strategy, as well as providing an integrated direction of sales, marketing and technology.
Prior to StrikeIron, Mr. Brauer was the founding Chief Executive Officer for the DataFlux Corporation, an innovative database management software company launched in 1996, financed by the Aurora Funds and several private investors, and acquired by SAS Institute in June of 2000. Prior to DataFlux, Mr. Brauer was a software engineer with Seer Technologies.
Mr. Brauer is a frequent guest speaker at software industry technology conferences and has appeared as an author in several industry publications, including Web Services Journal and Webservices.org. In 2004, Mr. Brauer received the Triangle Business Journal's 40 Under 40 Leadership Award. He was nominated for the Ernst & Young's Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2001 and 2004, and was chosen in the Research Triangle area's Impact 100 presented by Business Leader magazine. Mr. Brauer holds a B.S. in Computer Science from The Ohio State University.
Chris Atkinson, Executive Vice President and General Manager
Chris Atkinson is responsible for the organic growth of StrikeIron through the expansion of our industry leading sales force and building loyalty with our customers. Chris is a passionate leader who brings 15 years of Sales, Marketing and Busines Development leadership working with Fortune 100 and venture backed start-ups.
Prior to joining StrikeIron, Chris served at McKesson, Allscripts, and Netsco in various senior leadership roles.
Mr. Atkinson holds a BS in Marketing from the University of Connecticut and a MBA with concentration in Finance from Kenan-Flagler Business School at The University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
Justin Helmig, Vice President of Marketing
Justin Helmig is responsible for marketing and strategy for StrikeIron's product portfolio. Prior to StrikeIron, Mr. Helmig was Vice President of Product Management at TapRoot Systems, a venture backed mobile software company and held various leadership positions at Texas Instruments, General Instrument and Qualcomm. Mr. Helmig holds a BS in Computer Engineering from Clemson University and a MBA from Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
